About Jackie (she/her)

The Professional

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with years of experience working with survivors of interpersonal and systemic trauma. I have a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from William James College, and I am working towards certification as a Certified Financial Therapist. In my work treating trauma and helping people build better lives for themselves, I became fascinated by the ways individual people and our larger culture talk about money, and how much space it takes up in our discussions of wellbeing. In my work, I center personal agency and capacity for growth, without disregarding the social context and systemic challenges that so often stifle that growth. You’ll never hear me say you need to pull yourself out of your financial woes by your bootstraps, but I also will never say that you are powerless to affect real change for yourself.

The Personal

In my free time, you will find me snuggling with my cat, cooking unnecessarily elaborate meals, or running (slowly but steadily) around the Greater Boston Area. Humor is an important part of how I relate to people, and I’m easy to catch making cheesy jokes with friends and clients alike.
